All About Tales of Quails

Stupid animals, deliriously happy.

Tales of Quails is a weekly cartoon and collection of books based in a world of desert animals. The tales have a unifying theme — turning common childhood adversities into opportunities for joyful growth.

The idea began with my first book “Protect Your Nonsense.” In it, a young quail named Cisco finds great joy dancing alone, but is mortified whenever strangers discover him at play. Then he meets an owl name Mary who explains that his imaginary world — that which makes sense to him but no one else — is precious and worth protecting.

Four additional books in the series are planned, with the second already completed. Since March of 2024 I have been working to bring the weekly cartoon strip “up to speed” with the world of books, typically releasing 1-2 strips per week.
